Vina is a Certified AFAA Group Exercise Instructor and Zumba instructor. She is licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, and Zumbatomic classes. Classes are currently held at the Fairview Recreation Center and the Nashville Center for Spiritual Living.
Zumba® Basic Steps and Level 2 – Eight basic rhythms are incorporated into basic Zumba® classes: Belly Dance, Cumbia, Flamenco, Merengue, Reggaetone, Samba and Tango. Others may include: Bhangra, Bollywood, Cha Cha, Calypso and African rhythms.
Zumbatomic® – Fuses the Zumba program’s exciting formula with the psychology and physiology relevant to teaching kids (ages 4-12). Basic Zumba moves are modified to get optimal results; with the Zumbatomic program, kids have a blast, get focused and get fit.
Zumba Gold® – Designed for the active older adult population or the true beginner (deconditioned participant) to address the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs specific to these populations. May include chair work.
Zumba Toning™ – Blends body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into a calorie-burning, strength-training class. Instructors use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and build strength.
